Description

The edges of a stringed instrument are not only a decorative element but serve as protection for the plates and the ribs.

In this case the edges are damaged and in some places had been replaced in a previous repair with new material that doesnt match the instrument in wood, form or colour and so disturbs the appearance.

After the repair the instrument appears calm and harmonious, the edges are restored and can fulfill their protective function.
