Description

In a previous repair the button has been replaced and the the area around it scraped, resulting in a hollow area in the arching. The purfling has been replaced aswell without regard to the curve of the outline. Finally it has been retouched with a varnish too thick and too red for the instrument. The rest of the back being in very good state of preservation the badly repaired button area was very damaging for the overall impression.

After the restoration the arching and the purfling are fluing again and are coherent with the rest of the instrument.
